More than 175 members and their guests gathered at Blyton Park, Nr Gainsborough on
April 25th for the first BRM Association Track Day.
Eight ex works cars P15/1, P48/2,
P57/2, P261/5, P126/1, P160/7, P160/8, P201/5 were joined by a Lotus 24-BRM and BRP-BRM.
The famous BRM 1960 Leyland Transporter added to the scene in the paddock.
BRMs first car the 1950 1.5-litre V16 came from the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu
for the day and made a number of spirited runs and was firing on all 16 cylinders,
running up to 9,000rpm.
During the spell of rain in the middle of the day, P160-8
went out on wets which was very reminiscent of the teams final win in Monaco 1972
when Jean-Pierre Beltoise drove a flawless race in very wet conditions.
The cars were provided by individual owners and Bourne-based historic motorsport
specialists Hall & Hall.
